Adventure time in Lower Carpenter Valley

Adventure time in Lower Carpenter Valley

Off we went down the dirt path and found ourselves happily immersed in nature. This is why we created Love Being Wild. To share our passion of the outdoors and encourage all people to use creating and exploring as tools for better health.

Our most recent adventure took us to the town of Truckee, California and down a dirt road to a spot known as Lower Carpenter Valley. The trail wanders its way through a forest and meadow and is mostly flat (we weren't feeling lots of elevation gain so it was perfect). We saw wildflowers, bees, squirrels, birds and other little critters. The valley is gorgeous and serene. Definitely a great way to end our summer hiking and transition into Fall.

Also, definitely check out the Truckee Donner Land Trust website. It has lots of great information and resources (not only for this trail but many others). Other links to trail information are Alltrails and Northern Sierra Partnership
